Andis Burkevics, a senior associate, has been practising law since 1999.
Andis joined the firm in 2005. His key areas of specialisation are employment law and personal data protection law. With his broad experience in employment law-related cases including litigation, Andis advises on personal data protection, workplace environment and safety requirements issues, drafted employment contracts and management agreements, assisted in employment termination cases and represented clients in employment law-related negotiations (including with employee-authorised representatives and trade unions) and disputes.

Andis Burkevics spent more than six years before joining SORAINEN working with Latvian trade unions as a specialist in collective agreement and bargaining issues and later as a legal counsel. This also gained Andis valuable long-term experience in getting to know how things happen on the "other side".

Andis has also published many articles on employment law topics both in the Latvian press and internationally.
