Andreas Tinhofer
Andreas Tinhofer is a partner at MOSATI Rechtsanwälte, a law firm focusing exclusively on labour and employment law related issues.
Andreas is advising and representing clients on all issues of individual and collective employment law, including company pensions. Many of his clients are multi-national companies doing business in Austria. His main areas of work include labour issues related to restructurings, outsourcings, redundancies, secondments and cross-border issues. At the moment Andreas is advising a number of large businesses on various strategies how to reduce labour costs. Andreas is also litigating at the employment tribunal in order to enforce his clients’ rights (e.g. in a dismissal case or regarding a non-compete clause).
Andreas has published numerous books and articles on various topics of employment and labour law. Amongst his topics of special interest are business transfer law, dismissal law and redundancies and international employment law. He is co-editor of Labour and Social Law in the CEE (Manz, 2004) and of Cross-Border Transfers and Redundancies (Tottel Publishing, 2004). Further, Andreas has co-authored the Austrian contribution to the book International Expatriats Employment Handbook (Kluwer Law International, 2006). He is also a co-author of Mazal/Risak (ed.), Das Arbeitsrecht (LexisNexis, loose-leaf), one of the standard commentaries on Austrian labour law.
Andreas is also a frequent speaker at seminars for HR persons and managing directors on various topics of employment and labour law. Since 1994 he has been lecturing at the Labour Law Department of the Vienna University of Economics and Business. He is a member of the Vienna Bar Association, the Vienna Law Society and the European Employment Lawyers’ Association (EELA).
